For example, at right you see certification of underwater testing of our 5-25 x 56 PM II. It spent 10 hours in sea water at a depth of 25 meters (82 feet), revealing absolutely no leakage. The MIL-STD-810 G Method 512 is a test to demanding military standards, requiring that a scope resist substantial pressures and the corrosive effects of saltwater for a specified period of time. Few scopes can pass this test. Which is why Schmidt & Bender are among the few scopes approved for use by the U.S. military.
